Alcohol Policy on Royal Caribbean Cruises

Alcohol Policy on Royal Caribbean Cruises

One of the best things on board in any of the Royal Caribbean Cruise liners is the dining experience. Every port destination has a special cuisine prepared for the dining guests. It is a wonderful way to satisfy one’s hunger for exotic dishes around the world. In one cruise alone, guests will get to try different flavors representing various regional palates. A gastronomic experience is never complete without a dose of alcoholic beverages to toast with.

Consumption of alcohol while riding in any of the Royal Caribbean luxury ships is not prohibited. However, guests must follow the alcohol policy on Royal Caribbean Cruises. Generally, alcohol policy on Royal Caribbean Cruises prohibits kids or anybody below the age of 21 from taking alcoholic beverages. This policy has commenced last July 28, 2006.

However this alcohol policy of Royal Caribbean Cruises may change depending on the destination of the cruise. For example when the Royal Caribbean Cruises set to sail to Europe and South America, the countries in these two continents restrict the consumption of alcohol to adults above 18 years old. The accompanying parents or guardians of adults ages 18-20 need to sign a waiver before they can start enjoying a bottle or two of alcoholic drinks. Moreover, the concerned adults are required to sign a waiver in agreement not to give anyone below 21 years old any type of alcoholic drinks. To avoid penalties or sanctions, guests must follow this alcohol policy on Royal Caribbean cruises strictly.

Guests checking-in in any of the ships of the Royal Caribbean International must be aware that bringing of wines and spirits are not allowed. Although those that are bought on a side trip to one of the destinations will be held in custody by the ship’s concerned staff. The said items will only be given to the owners on their final day onboard the Royal Caribbean cruise. Royal Caribbean security personnel reserve the right to confiscate any wine, spirits and other alcoholic beverages concealed by the guests in their luggage. Those who are found guilty of violating this alcohol policy, which is clearly stipulated in the Guests Vacation Policies, will be dealt with accordingly.

Guests are still required to exhibit proper demeanor even if they have been granted the privilege to consume alcoholic beverages. This is to ensure that other guests will not be disturbed and to avoid unnecessary circumstances.

The key to enjoyment with alcohol consumption while on a cruise is through moderation. You can drink if you must but, but never get drunk lest you will be thrown out of the ship. So tourists should take the alcohol policy on Royal Caribbean Cruises by heart.

Disney Island Castaway Cay

Tell people that you are going on a Disney vacation holiday and they will inevitably ask you which of the Disney theme parks you are visiting. Unknown to many people, Disney actually own a private island in the Caribbean Sea in the Bahamas called Castaway Cay. However, accessibility to this Mickey Mouse shaped exotic magic island is only through Disney cruise ships. Yes, Disney operates cruises too and in fact owns two of the most fun and luxurious cruise ships.

As a matter of fact, Walt Disney Company President and CEO Bob Iger announced in early 2007 that the company has signed a letter of intent with Meyer Werft Shipyards of Germany to build two 122,000-ton cruise ships, each with room for up to 4,000 guests. The unnamed ships will be delivered in 2011 and 2012 respectively taking the Disney fleet to 4 ships.

Castaway Cay, the beautiful Pacific island is lined with pristine beaches dotted with colorful umbrellas. Under each of these huge umbrellas are two adjustable lounge chairs and two beach chairs to relax in. There are also hammocks scattered around the beaches for visitors to doze off in the cool sea breezes.

There is a “Family Beach” for wholesome family fun and in Serenity Bay is the “Adult Beach” for those above 18 years old and a “Teen Beach” for teenagers. As you disembark from a Disney cruise ship, you can simply walk or head to the Tram Station for a tram ride to all three Castaway Cay beaches.

The water around Castaway Cay is crystal clear and is also comfortably warm for most of the year. As the beaches are sheltered, the tides rise and ebb with barely a ripple. This is certainly an excellent water condition for swimming, snorkeling and scuba diving. If you do not wish to plunge into the water, you can book a Stingray Adventure excursion and interact with these fascinating sea creatures.

Feeling hungry? Your hunger pang will be satisfied with a smorgasbord of seasonal fresh fruits and delicious barbecue meats, mouth watering seafood and the best potato salad you have ever tasted.

Naturally, there is also a souvenir store for you to get some Disney mementos to remember this island paradise fondly. Exclusive Disney Castaway Cay merchandise is sold here as well as any essentials you may have forgotten such as swim wear, sunglasses or sun blocks. There are also stores which sell Bahamian handicrafts, however the prices for these handicrafts are much higher than in any Bahamian port of call.

Hair braiding is a very popular vacation activity in Castaway Cay. Everyone wants to look like a Rastafarian or be a Jimi Hendrix look alike. Another relaxing activity is to head over to Serenity Bay open air massage cabanas for some body pampering.

There are many other excursions to choose from such as going on guided jetski tour, a banana boat ride or go parasailing. Just about everything you can expect to do at a beautiful beach, Disney’s Castaway Cay has them all and more.

If spending a full day under the sun is not your cup of tea, then do head for Groupers Pavilion’s sheltered area where you can play foosball, table tennis, basketball, golf, chess and checkers. There are also be favorite Disney cartoon characters making appearances and mingling with the children.

So if you are taking a vacation, why not take a Disney cruise instead and enjoy sailing to Disney’s magic island, the Castaway Cay in the Bahamas.

Reasons Why To Take A Cruise

Reasons Why To Take A Cruise

A cruise vacation was unthinkable for most except for a very few extremely wealthy, just a short while ago. Today it has become affordable and there are plenty of people going just about everywhere. What makes a cruise attractive is that you are on a luxurious floating hotel the whole time, with everything a luxurious hotel can provide. The hotel takes you to your tour city without any inconvenience. No more long layovers at airports and losing precious vacation time, packing and unpacking suitcases and shuttling between airports and hotels, as you make your way from one country to another. A cruise is indeed the best possible way to have a great vacation for all ages.

Let’s have a look at all that a cruise can provide. Cruises have become extremely affordable and there are a wide variety of good, reliable operators throughout the year. They all have multiple travel destinations and practically every tourist attraction is covered. There are tremendous off-season discounts as well available throughout the year. Older travelers or couples can choose cruises when there are no vacation crowds. Families with children usually prefer vacation time and will always find discounts for somewhere interesting.

A cruise is all inclusive. All board and lodging is totally and food is available 24/7. The pools, all entertainment facilities and shops are open right through the day and well into the night. There’s plenty of onboard entertainment for both adults and children of all ages. There are facilities and trainers for rock climbing, in addition to scuba diving, snorkeling, water skiing and ocean swimming. Of course there are plenty of gyms with trainers to keep in shape as well. Then there are all the beauty parlors and spas with massages. Many cruises also have casinos on board. There are doctors and other health personnel on board too. Overall you end up spending much less than on a long vacation covering four or more countries.

A cruise can cover from four or more countries with one or more ports of call in each. This system allows you to visit remote ports without tourist facilities, which would normally be expensive if done via land. Thus your luxurious floating hotel takes you there without airport hassles and undocumented hotel reservations that could be a nasty surprise.

Being on a cruise is a great way to meet all kinds of interesting people. Children and teenagers too can find new friends and not be bored. There are special cruises for singles too. However, even on regular cruises it is easy to meet really nice people and date.

Big names like Royal Caribbean, Carnival, Princess Cruises, Crystal etc. offer cruises. They offer fabulous installations and amenities on board. Most cruises have a ratio of two to three or more, crew vs. passengers, which makes for absolutely excellent services. More and more vacation goers are taking cruises. It’s a relaxing way to have a really great vacation for all ages and lifestyles. Have a great cruise.

Caribbean Travel Cruise

One of the most beloved features of the Caribbean islands is the idyllic weather.
Rain or shine in some other part of the world, you can expect to have the perfect weather here. That’s because a whole range of climate is afforded you – from the striking deserts of Aruba to the misty jungles of Dominica, from balmy breezes to soothing sunshine, and everything in between. And the best way to enjoy the Caribbean’s lovely weather is to go on a Caribbean travel cruise.

Sure, you can always take a plane ride to the Caribbean. That’s the quickest and probably the cheapest way to get to your island destination. But if you want to combine transportation with leisure views of the islands from the ocean, then a Caribbean travel cruise is best. Indeed, there’s no better way to enjoy an island paradise than from the deck of a luxury line cruise ship.

If you agree, then you’re amongst crowds. Approximately two million travelers take Caribbean travel cruises each year to enjoy the beautiful beaches and warm weather. Caribbean travel cruises are popular because of the activities and amenities available on board the ship. In addition, many of these ships make stops at various islands along the way, giving you a chance to enjoy several aspects of the islands all for the price of one.

If you decide to take a Caribbean travel cruise, plan ahead. There are many factors that you ought to consider, not least of which is price. Admittedly, Caribbean travel cruises are a bit on the expensive side compared with all-inclusives and other packages. But if you plan well, there’s no reason why you can’t get a good deal with your Caribbean travel cruise.

Depending on the season, cabins may get fully booked months before the Caribbean travel cruise is scheduled to depart. So if you want to make it your chosen cruise, book early by calling the cruise line or making an online reservation. Or if you want, you can also work out the details of your own Caribbean travel cruise through an online or in-person travel agent.

Always keep in mind your vacationing goals. For instance, if you’re taking a Caribbean travel cruise with your kids, stick to the Disney cruise because if anything, this is guaranteed to have activities designed specifically for children. If you’re traveling as a couple, then look for one of those romance-themed cruises that provide you with a quiet atmosphere, like the Princess cruise for instance, the line used by the Love Boat TV show. On the other hand, if you want to sail on board the most luxurious ships, then look to liners known for their top notch Caribbean travel cruise services, such as Crystal, Silversea, or the new Queen Mary II.

There are many ocean liners offering Caribbean travel cruises. Each of them offers a variety of price, schedule and island stop options. Whether you seek an extravagant vacation aboard a floating luxury hotel, a romantic getaway with your loved one, or an activity-filled family voyage, just choose your dream ship and you’re all set.

Port Stops in Greenland Added to Some Holland America Cruises in 2021

Holland America Line has added port stops to explore the dramatic landscape of Greenland with the addition of three new cruises in 2021.

From April through October, guests can select from more than 13 unique Canada, New England and Greenland itineraries ranging from seven to 17 days — including a new roundtrip cruise from Boston, Massachusetts, that features Greenland, Newfoundland and New England.

To celebrate the opening of the 2021 Canada, New England & Greenland bookings, Holland America Line is featuring an exclusive suite offer that includes free drinks, a free dining package and free gratuities when reserved by February 28, 2020.  View Prices on Cruises on Holland America Line

Kicking off the season in April, Amsterdam, Zaandam and Rotterdam sail a diverse collection of 50 cruises that call at 23 exceptional ports on itineraries departing from Boston; Fort Lauderdale, Florida; and Montréal, Québec.

In addition to Greenland, the cruises call at some of the region’s most iconic destinations, including Charlottetown on Prince Edward Island, Maine’s spectacular Acadia National Park, Cape Breton’s incredible Bird Islands and Red Bay, Newfoundland and Labrador.

New and Notable in 2021

Three new 17-day Greenland, Newfoundland & New England Discovery cruises aboard Rotterdam in July and August sail roundtrip from Boston and explore remote destinations with breathtaking natural beauty. Ports include Paamiut, Qaqortoq and Nanortalik, Greenland; St. John’s, Red Bay, St. Anthony and Corner Brook, Newfoundland and Labrador; Halifax and Sydney, Nova Scotia; Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island; and Bar Harbor, Maine.

Amsterdam and Zaandam will continue cruising between Montréal and Boston in both the summer and fall, which will add three additional Canada & New England Discovery cruises and one additional Atlantic Coast sailing.

Rotterdam takes over the 10-day Newfoundland & New England Discovery itineraries that now sail all the way to Montréal and include a late-night departure or overnight at Québec City, Québec.

All three ships will cruise the region in the fall so more guests can view the impressive display of jewel-toned foliage. Itineraries feature scenic cruising on the St. Lawrence River and Saguenay Fjord.

Holland America Line’s perfectly sized ships enable cruising the scenic St. Lawrence River, with calls at Montréal and Québec City on nearly every itinerary.

Leisurely journeys along the Atlantic Coast to and from Fort Lauderdale feature port calls at Charleston, South Carolina, and New York City on select itineraries.
