Royal Caribbean and Celebrity Cruises are the latest cruise lines to cancel more cruises and extend their pause in sailings.

Royal Caribbean and Celebrity Cruises have announced that they have canceled cruises through the end of April 2021. Royal Caribbean has not had a cruise ship depart on a cruise from the U.S. since March 13, 2020.

In addition, Celebrity Cruises has canceled the May 1 transatlantic cruise on Celebrity Apex. As well, May through October 2021 Europe and transatlantic cruises on Celebrity Edge and Celebrity Constellation will also be suspended.

In a statement provided to travel professionals, Royal Caribbean said they were preparing and developing their plan to meet the Framework for Conditional Sailing Order issued by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

Guests who were on one of the canceled cruises will have the following three options to choose from:

  • 100% full refund
  • 125% future cruise credit
  • Lift & Shift to a qualifying cruise next year where your cruise fare/promotion will be protected.
